Dr. Rebecca McIntosh is a compassionate and skilled veterinarian with a deep passion for behavior medicine and the care of animals with special needs. She graduated from St. Matthew's University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at North Carolina State University. Dr. McIntosh is both a Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist (cVMA) and a Certified Fear Free Professional (CFFP), dedicated to reducing stress for her patients and enhancing their overall well-being.
At home, she is on a mission to save the galaxy with her rag tag gang of special needs Guardians: cats—Drax, Odin, and Nebula—and dogs—Groot, and Rocket, infamous best friends and wheelchair Frenchies. When she’s not caring for animals, Dr. McIntosh enjoys festivals, Highland Games, vintage and period costuming, and swing dancing with her husband of over 20 years as well as performing with a local choir. She looks forward to bringing warmth, expertise, and a gentle touch to each visit and is honored to be part of your pet's healthcare journey.
“I truly feel that pets make the world a better place to live and allow us to know unconditional love. For this invaluable gift that they give to us, I feel my purpose in life is the constant pursuit of returning the favor.”
