For a spay, we're actually going into their abdomen and removing their ovaries and their uterus. For a neuter, we're making an incision on the scrotum and removing the testicles.

Yes, we want them to be nice and asleep for those surgeries.
Will the spay or neuter be painful for my cat?
It will be. That's why we give them pain medicine before, during, and after.
Are there any complications to a spay or neuter surgery?
There's always complications for any surgery, so please talk to your veterinarian beforehand.
How long does a cat spay or neuter take?
It can take anywhere from a couple of minutes to about 30 minutes.
Can my cat get a microchip during their spay or neuter?
Most definitely, yes. That's the best time to do it.
